ᐅ Thanh, which are your top three favorite DentalCAD Elefsina feature release highlights, and which are the benefits?
The first and most important one is AI Design* in DentalCAD, a very powerful tool that everyone should have, for a customized AI designed crown, based on your parameters and references on the tool library. It will reduce your design time. You don’t need any long training, as it is fully automated and user-friendly, it is already in the DentalCAD feature release and it is very easy to activate.
The second one is TruSmile Video**. It is a fantastic, powerful marketing tool. A dynamic communication tool for the clinician to the patient, for the patient to the patient’s family and, also, for the lab to the clinician. A real enhancement of user experience, you can see your smile before and after treatment as you are speaking, in real-time, during the design process.
The next one is the Virtual Articulator module. We have a new user interface, it's very user-friendly. You can easily and quickly choose the articulator you want, and you can now switch between the movement of upper jaw or the lower jaw. We have a lot of options leading to more efficiency during the design.

Thanh - Above all, let me thank my exocad team, that gave me this opportunity, making me feel so proud to share my knowledge. My “Than’s Top 10” webinars will share practical work, from basics tools to cutting-edge technologies, from troubleshooting advice to workflows and practical real-world applications, that will enhance users’ understanding and practical skills.

ᐅ Christine, we're very close to the Cologne trade show.
Why is it worth attending the IDS 2025? What is exocad planning for the show?
We're very excited for IDS 2025. Our booth will again be in hall 1, that is really becoming a digital hall. We will have an even more open booth than the previous edition, where we will invite, once again, users to come, test and see our software.
We will be presenting the so-called “exocad arCADe”, a gamified station where users can try out our software themselves, with their own hands, under supervision, and with the support of our exocad experts. They will really see how easy it is to use our software. Of course, we will also still have our demo stations, where our application specialists will be happy to go into detail of designing and showing our newest and latest features. We're planning exciting demonstrations at the booth, also with some great lectures! We are also very excited to have, as part of our booth, “Voices from the Bench”, the podcast for dental technicians from the US. Elvis and Barb will be interviewing people stopping by our booth. As we realize that not everybody can fly over to the IDS, we want to make sure the information reaches the US, a very important market for exocad. We will also present the latest release cycle under the name Chemnitz.
On the marketing side, we're launching a brand-new testimonial campaign, of course, with real users, as we always do with a new booth design and advertisements.
ᐅ What's new at exocad regarding AI? What are we looking forward to?
Christine - We have just launched here in New York, an early access program for AI design, where labs can generate AI crowns from within the software. It takes approximately two minutes to create a design, we really think this is a great tool to speed up the work in the lab. And, the TruSmile video**, as mentioned by Thanh before. This is also a cloud service, something that we've previewed already at our Insights event in Palma de Mallorca, the in-face visualization is very emotional for patients that can see what they will actually and predictably look like after treatment. These are two of the major highlights, both launched as early access programs, meaning that they are only currently available in the US and the EU.
ᐅ One last question for both of you. What is your “must do” when in New York City?
Christine - We always arrive on Black Friday, so I do a little bit of shopping here in New York City. But this year, I would really love to ice skate in Bryant Park, and I always like to try and go to a rooftop bar and enjoy the views. Manhattan has the most magnificent views, it's one of my favorite cities in the world.
Thanh - I moved to California six years ago, but I lived on the east coast for 35 years. So, when I come here, it’s like coming back to my hometown, to meet my friends. Also, I love to see the Christmas lights, they are awesome!
